Pride Health is hiring a RN - Med Surg (Auto-offer role) to support our client’s medical facility based in New York, NY – 10029 . This is a 3 -month assignment with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Title : RN - Med Surg (Auto-offer role)

Location : New York, NY 10029

Pay Range : $53.00 / hr to $56.00 / hr for Local Candidates

$2000 to $2200 for Travel Candidates

Shift : Nights, 7 : 00 PM -7 : 30 AM

Duration : 03 Months (Contract) with possible extension

Key Responsibilities :

• Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care using the nursing process.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team on care plans.
• Prioritize and delegate patient care tasks effectively.
• Educate patients and families on care plans, transitions, and health promotion.
• Communicate professionally with patients, families, and staff.
• Manage patient assignments and resources efficiently.
• Demonstrate Relationship Centered Care practices (admission, bedside report, rounding, discharge).
• Incorporate patient values, preferences, and cultural needs into care.
• Build therapeutic relationships and practice active listening.
• Use evidence-based methods to improve patient experience.
• Perform service recovery and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Conduct Purposeful Hourly Rounding addressing the 4 Ps.
• Deliver safe, patient-centered care and identify improvement opportunities.
• Apply clinical skills essential to quality and safety.
• Support and participate in process improvement and evidence-based initiatives.
• Engage in peer review and interdisciplinary quality projects.
• Follow high-reliability and safety practices, escalating hazards as needed.
• Document care accurately to support quality and performance improvement.

Education requirement :

Required : ASN with relevant experience and / or active enrollment in a BSN program.

Preferred : Bachelor's of science in Nursing

Experience Requirement :

Licensure & Certification :

Required : Licensed Registered Nurse with current registration in New York State

BLS (Basic Life Support) from AHA (American heart Association)
