Job Title : Field Technician

Reports To : Community Facilities and Grounds Manager

Overview
Public Alliance, a division of The Management Trust, is hiring a Field Technician to support a metropolitan district in Aurora, Colorado. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with practical knowledge of irrigation systems, general maintenance methods, and the ability to make repairs to both indoor and outdoor facilities. The position requires a balance of technical skills, problem-solving, and customer service.
Essential Functions
- Monitor irrigated grounds, perform minor irrigation repairs, and report issues to management.
- Inspect parks, trails, sidewalks, fences, and amenities, performing upkeep and repairs as needed.
- Conduct paint touch-ups and limited-scope painting on district amenities.
- Follow maintenance plans for infrastructure, equipment, and property.
- Perform snow removal, apply ice melt, and complete touch-ups as needed.
- Submit receipts with proper documentation.
- Plan, execute, and complete assigned work while addressing complaints and ensuring quality results.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to operate mechanical vehicles and maintenance equipment.Strong communication skills to work effectively with the Community Facilities and Grounds Manager, District Manager, and office staff.Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships.Calm and effective response in emergency situations.Strong organizational skills to prioritize work efficiently while maintaining quality, cost control, and customer service standards.Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and well-presented environment.Ability to respond to emergencies within one hour during occasional on-call assignments.Willingness to attend Board and Committee meetings as requested.Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED required.Minimum two years of related experience.Construction, property maintenance, or landscaping experience preferred.Licenses, Certifications, and Additional Requirements
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.Must pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) check and criminal history background check.Working Environment
Primarily outdoor work in varied weather conditions.Exposure to physical work environments and occasionally confined spaces.Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, sit, walk on unpaved terrain, reach with arms and hands, and use manual dexterity for tools and vehicles.Ability to climb ladders and stairs, bend, stoop, kneel, and work in confined spaces.Must have adequate vision, hearing, and movement to perform duties safely.Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.Will be required to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heatCompensation & Benefits
Pay Range : $26.00-$30.00 Hourly, Non-ExemptStarting wage commensurate with experience and skillset.Benefits package available.
