Travel Nursing Job Details

Location : Goodyear, AZ 85395 (Phoenix metro area)

Assignment Length : 8-13 weeks

Start Date : 12 / 15 / 2025 (or any Monday thereafter)

Shift : 12-hour day shifts

Hours per Week : 36

Unit : Med / Surg 231

Number of Beds : 28-bed medical-surgical unit

Nurse to Patient Ratio : 1 : 4 (telemetry), 1 : 5 (med / surg)

Charting System : Cerner EMR

Scrub Color : Navy blue

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1280 - $1370 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license (Arizona or compact state)

BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required

Minimum 2 years of recent Med / Surg RN experience

Strong clinical skills in post-procedure care, stent management, sepsis, respiratory failure, COVID care, and renal failure

Ability to float to ED holds and similar acuity units as needed

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to diverse patients in a 28-bed medical-surgical unit

Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and treatment responses

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans

Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as ordered

Support patients recovering from procedures, stents, sepsis, respiratory and renal failure, and COVID-19

Float to ED holds and other units as needed

Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner EMR
