Summary of Duties : Assist in producing Generate Capital's long term corporate financial models. Hold a lead role in producing the performance vs. plan, the company's portfolio analysis. Assist with strategic reports to the board by running multiple scenarios with respect to capital structures, partnerships and fundraising and determine impact on overall value to shareholders. Lead the data gathering and forecasting to support the company's annual re-underwriting process. Support the financial modelling underlying the company's Annual Investment Plan. Build and maintain financial models that aid decision makers to understand the business as a whole, including the wide-ranging impacts of strategic decisions. Assist in fundraising efforts by delivering investor models, building investor decks and addressing due diligence questions from potential and existing investors. Provide appropriate and reliable financial advice, recommendations, and expert technical interpretation on complex strategic and operational matters. Ensure the models provide a consistent, holistic, risk-weighted view of the business. Work efficiently with internal reporting software (e.g. Adaptive, Anaplan). Use basic understanding of SQL queries to help build internal reporting tools in collaboration with data team. Complete information requests from executive team members that synthesize and analyze the financial data, communicate the key results, and help them make sound decisions. Demonstrate advanced understanding of accounting and financial statements. Work with external consultants to support ad hoc workstreams. Navigate 'Bloomberg terminal' to extract financial data. Create and maintain dashboards in Tableau software. Share knowledge internally and train team members to build company expertise.
Hybrid position (20-40% working from home); infrequent domestic travel may be required.
Qualifications : Master's degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting or related field of study and 2 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered, Finance Consultant, Investment Associate, Investment Banking Analyst, Investment Analyst, or a related occupation.
Applicants must have demonstrated experience with the following :
1) financial modelling in Microsoft Excel.
2) building and maintaining long term discounted cash flow models.
3) using of corporate valuation theory.
4) evaluating capital markets financial structures.
5) performing financial accounting and reporting per US GAAP.
6) financial statement analysis.
7) engineering key financial metrics like EBITDA, OCF, gross margin, leverage, and yield.

Generate's compensation packages are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Salary decisions take into account a wide variety of factors including, but not limited to : skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, geographic location, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $152,069 - $192,000. In addition, the compensation package may include a discretionary bonus and other benefits, including health care benefits, retirement benefits, benefits permitting paid days off (including sick leave, parental leave, and paid time off or vacation benefits), and other benefits that must be reported for federal tax purposes. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of this range.
