Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a day-shift inpatient rehab assignment, requiring BLS, NBCOT, and an NM state license or eligibility.

Responsibilities

  • Work in an inpatient rehabilitation therapy setting
  • Day shift position with a schedule of 5x8 hour shifts, 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM
  • Patients include those requiring rehabilitation services in an acute care environment
  • Floating to other like units within the therapist's scope may be required
  • EPIC charting experience is preferred
  • Role involves collaborating within a rehab care team to deliver patient-centered therapy
  • Brief unit orientation provided
  • No travel pairs or groups accepted
  • Locals living within 50 miles are not eligible
  • Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as travelers
  • No more than 3 days of requested time off will be auto-approved, with no RTO during the first week of orientation
  • Onsite modules to be completed during orientation and are documented via transcript

    • Requirements

  • Current BLS certification required
  • NBCOT certification required
  • New Mexico state OT license required (pending NM license accepted for consideration)
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant occupational therapy experience required
  • Experience with EPIC EMR preferred
  • First-time travelers will be considered
  • License required if applicable
