Job descriptionHS diploma Field machinist or millwright training and demonstrated experience Mechanical equipment repair training and / or demonstrated experience : pumps, mechanical seals, agitators, gear boxes, fans (bearings, sheaves), alignment Able to work in confined spaces Able to work from heights from a ladder or man lift Demonstrate effective analytical troubleshooting skills Able to read and interpret mechanical / machine drawings Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision Excellent safety record – places safety and environment as top priority in all work Knowledge of Lock Out / Tag Out Good communication skills – daily communications with maintenance planner, technical staff and operations as needed. Good team player – willing be flexible, work in other areas and with other trades as needed.
Job Description
Eastman Kodak is looking to hire a Field Machinist in Rochester, New York.
Position Description :
- Machinist required to repair, maintain, install and make improvements to chemical processing equipment and machinery (includes pumps, agitators, fans, centrifuges, etc.).
- Ability to fabricate to exact tolerances using lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other shop equipment
- Execute preventive maintenance program
- Calibrate, align and make adjustments to production equipment
- Work hours are Mon. – Fri., 8 hour days (40 hours / week) with occasional overtime
- Available for call in on off hours as needed to make equipment repairs
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and maintenance software tools.
Qualifications include :
Minimum Education Level and experience :
2 year schooling and / or 5 plus years of demonstrated experience.
