Job title : Water Meter Technician

Salary : $14.85 per hr / $29,993.60 annually

Hours : 8 am - 5 pm (hours may vary and on-call duties)

Role and Responsibilities :

Under general supervision, this position performs mechanical work in the repair and maintenance of water meters and responds to and resolves a variety of customer requests related to water service installations.

Minimum Requirements :

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Tasks require the regular and, at times, sustained performance of moderately physically demanding work.
• Some combination of climbing and balancing to include climbing ladders, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
• May involve the lifting, carrying, pushing, and / or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials (20-50 pounds).
• Ability to pass a pre-employment DPS Background check, Drug test, Physical and Lumbar X-ray.
