Are you an experienced professional in the Accounting and Finance industry with a knack for leading and managing financial operations? We are seeking a seasoned Permanent Controller to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the financial aspects of a business, including but not limited to financial planning, budgeting, and financial risk management. Responsibilities :

As a Permanent Controller, you will be expected to :

1. Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.

2. Maintain internal control safeguards and coordinate all audit activities.

3. Manage cash flow and forecasting. Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes the minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.

4. Optimize the handling of banking relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash positions.

5. Manage and track the performance of invested assets in keeping with policies and investment guidelines.

6. Leverage strengths of the current finance team members, help to clarify roles and responsibilities, and develop and implement training programs in order to maximize and reach optimal individual and organizational goals.

7. Provide leadership in strengthening internal communications with staff at all levels throughout the organization; create and promote a positive and supportive work environment.

8. Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.

9. Prepare and present financial reports for meetings (i.e., monthly, quarterly, and annual reports).

Qualifications :

To qualify for this role, you should possess the following :

1. A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.

2. 5+ years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position.

3. Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

4. Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems, as well as experience with ERP accounting software.

5. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.

6. Working knowledge of short and long-term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and product-line profitability analysis.

7. Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in Spanish being a plus.

8. Experience in managing multiple company ledgers.

9. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.

10. Experience in month-end and year-end closing processes.
