Job purpose

This role is responsible for and manages MRO purchasing and supplier relationship management.

Main accountabilities and tasks

• Manages the order fulfillment process including purchase order entry, purchase order administration, and expediting incoming product.
• Responsible for the creation and setup of new vendor master data, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Monitors purchase order delivery dates to ensure alignment with supply chain schedules and customer requirements.
• Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and purchase raw materials required for production.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable supply chains
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate supply without overstocking, and manage reorder points.
• Analyze market trends to make cost-effective purchasing decisions and manage budgets.
• Executes the purchase order tracking process and ensures purchase orders are processed in accordance with the organization’s customer satisfaction and performance standards
• Ensures adequate inventory levels are maintained to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize cost
• Proactively communicates changes in material needs, lead times, or inventory levels to support agile decision-making across the supply chain.
• Tracks changes in business needs and adjust order quantities to support business increases or decreases
• Facilitates process improvement, streamlining of costs, to increase the quality of procurement, logistics, and materials management
• Reviews weekly open purchase order report and updates and addresses discrepancies
• Assist with inventory counts when applicable

Qualifications

Work experience : 3-5 years of  Buyer / Inventory Planning

Education :  Bachelor’s degree or commensurate years’ experience
