AGE Solutions is seeking a Sr. Cloud Operations Engineer with expertise in VDI and Data. In this role, you will support the design, development and deployment of Azure VDI solutions in a secure Department of Defense (DoD) environment. This role will also support data migrations from legacy on-premises environments to the cloud. You will be part of a high-power team proving out a prototype for production at full scale. This position requires an understanding of major cloud platforms and technologies as well as the ability to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

This is a Hybrid position located in Arlington, VA.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Architect, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure
  • Design and implement Azure VDI solutions
  • Support data migrations
  • Design and enforce robust network security
  • Troubleshoot complex cloud and network issues
  • Collaborate and communicate across teams

Required Qualifications :

  • Education :

    • Bachelor's degree in information systems, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Experience :

    • Eight (8) years of general experience in cloud engineering roles or a related field

  • Citizenship and Clearance :

    • US Citizenship is required

  • Must have an active DoD Secret clearance and the willingness to obtain a TS / SCI Eligibility
  • Certifications :

    • DoD 8570 / 8140 IAT Level II certification

  • Skills :

    • Strong experience with Azure and / or AWS cloud environments

  • Understanding of Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD / VDI), including :

    • Provisioning and managing host pools, session hosts, and application groups

  • User assignment and profile management
  • Monitoring and optimizing VDI performance and session reliability
  • Experience migrating large, legacy data sets from on-premises environments to the cloud
  • Deep knowledge of networking fundamentals (firewalls, DNS, VPN, routing protocols)
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

    • Desired Qualifications :

  • Familiarity with Zero Trust security architecture and cloud-native security tools
  • Familiarity with Special Access Program security requirements

    • Work Environment and Physical Demand :

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk.

    • Compensation : $180,000 - $195,000
