Mine Shield Repair Laborer

Express Employment is seeking a Mine Shield Repair Laborer for a full-time, long-term opportunity with a well-established mining support company in Mt. Morris, PA. This role is ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a heavy industrial yard environment.

Schedule & Pay

Monday–Friday, Full Time

Up to $20.00 per hour , depending on experience

Job Overview

This position supports the repair and refurbishment of mine shields and related components. You’ll be hands-on with industrial tools, material handling, and general yard work to keep equipment in safe, functional condition.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the repair, cleaning, and maintenance of mine shields

Use hand tools, impact tools, grinders, and torches (training provided if needed)

Perform heavy material handling and manual labor

Work with forklift operators to position and move shields

Maintain a clean and hazard-free work area

Follow OSHA, MSHA, and site safety requirements

Qualifications

Prior industrial, construction, mechanical, or laborer experience preferred

Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditions

Experience with tools such as wrenches, grinders, and impacts is a plus

Strong safety awareness

Reliable transportation to Mt. Morris, PA
