ICU Registered Nurse Job Details Location : Somerset, KY 42503 (Kentucky nursing jobs) Healthcare Setting : Intensive Care Unit (ICU) - Acute Care Hospital Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Start Date : October 27, 2025 End Date : January 26, 2026 Contract Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 7 : 00 PM - 7 : 00 AM (12-hour night shifts) Hours per Week : 36 (Guaranteed hours) Estimated Weekly Pay : $1780 - $1910 ICU RN Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Kentucky or compact state) Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience; ICU nursing experience preferred Ability to float to units within a 25-mile radius as needed Current BLS certification (ACLS or other certifications may be required) Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and patient care skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities ICU RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to critically ill adult patients in the ICU Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions; administer medications and perform interventions Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans Accurately document patient care in the electronic health record (EHR) Float to other hospital units within a 25-mile radius as required Maintain a safe, clean, and professional healthcare environment in accordance with hospital policies Discover the benefits of travel nursing in Somerset, KY—enjoy affordable living, a welcoming community, and endless outdoor recreation at Lake Cumberland.
