Medical Assistant / Receptionist FT Dept. Surgery & Surgical Oncology

Job Summary : The Englewood Health Physician Network has an exciting full time opportunity for an experienced Medical Assistant / Medical Receptionist. Based in Englewood Hospital, this role supports physicians and the healthcare team in the Dept of Surgery and Surgical Oncology. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, restocking procedure and exam rooms, pre-charting patient information in a timely manner prior to scheduled appointments, rooming patients by properly documenting all vitals, medical history, and screenings, setting up for and assisting with procedures and other essential tasks as needed to meet the needs of the practice. The MA / MR will make sure to attend to the needs of our patients and efficiently manage the flow of the clinical practice. Experience with medical terminology, EMR, collection of specimens, laboratory protocols and knowledge of proper handling and management of surgical instruments is preferred. Must be detail-oriented, organized and able to identify when to escalate certain matters. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are essential. Bi-lingual Spanish is a plus. Education Requirements :

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited program for Medical Assistant

License / Certification / Registry :

  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) / Registered Medical Assistant
