TIG Welder & Welding Trainee Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Welder - TIG / Precision Fabricator and a TIG Welding trainee to join our manufacturing team. This role involves executing precise welding and fabrication tasks on various metal components, ensuring adherence to project specifications and safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in welding processes, fabrication techniques, and blueprint reading, contributing to the production of high-quality custom metal assemblies. Duties
- Perform TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding with precision on sheet metal, pipework, structural components, as well as other exotic metals adhering to strict quality standards.
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide fabrication and assembly processes.
- Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
- Measure materials accurately using calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments; apply basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Use schematics to troubleshoot issues during fabrication or assembly processes; maintain compliance with safety protocols at all times.
- Assist with machining operations and operate forklifts or other material handling equipment when required.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to quality control procedures throughout the manufacturing process.
Requirements
- Proven experience in welding environments with expertise in TIG welding.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings is essential.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and basic machining techniques.
- Ability to interpret measurements accurately using calipers and micrometers; strong basic math skills are necessary.
- Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication processes such as pipe threading, assembly, soldering, and rigging.
- Valid certification or demonstrated skill in TIG welding
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a high precision environment.
