You will oversee the operational performance of our Colorado Aggregates business, ensuring excellence in safety, productivity, quality, customer service, and profitability. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead and support Plant Managers to ensure each site operates efficiently, meets production goals, and maintains high operational standards.

What you will be doing

  • Lead the production management team to achieve budgeted and forecasted goals, meeting the needs of the sales department
  • Monitor production Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and collaborate with management to address and resolve operational issues
  • Promote accountability across all levels of the team
  • Foster and strengthen a culture of safety excellence
  • Contribute to the creation of short- and long-term mine plans and reserve estimates
  • Plan and execute pit transitions effectively
  • Successfully deliver capital projects on time and within budget
  • Prepare authorizations for expenditure (AFE) and justify proposed capital investments
  • Develop operational budgets and forecasts for both production output and spending
  • Partner with production management to ensure production volumes and costs align with budget targets
  • Coach, mentor, and develop managers to build team bench strength and leadership capacity
  • Collaborate with Plant Managers to identify and cultivate talent across Operational teams
  • Ensure an adequate supply of material to consistently meet sales demand
  • Manage and reconcile inventory monthly, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What we would like from you

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or a minimum of 5+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Strong knowledge of the aggregates industry, including mine planning, plant operations, and process flow best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and motivate diverse teams to achieve organizational objectives
  • Skilled in managing change and driving continuous improvement
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Experience balancing multiple, competing priorities in fast-paced environments
  • Effective communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and intermediate computer skills
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check
  • Willingness to travel 25–50% to assigned plant locations and job sites
  • Location and other key details :

  • Primarily based at regional headquarters with routine visits to job sites and plant locations
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, type, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs as part of regular duties
  • Salary Range : $130,000.00 - 150,000.00 USD
