Trait Management Analyst

The Trait Management Analyst is responsible for ensuring the highest level of data integrity across multiple systems and departments. Key responsibilities include ownership of creation and maintenance of UDAs and traits, the application and maintenance of location traits to support organizational reporting, and setting up, maintaining, and validating SKU information. In addition, the role plays a key part in recall and compliance processes. By proactively identifying issues, reporting findings, and partnering with affected teams to implement corrections, this role plays a critical part in safeguarding margins, optimizing inventory turns and supporting operational excellence down to the store / SKU level.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities :

• Create and maintain location traits and location trait groups in Retek for all lines of business based on the needs of the Merchant, Visual Merchandise and Assortment Planning teams. These traits are then to be pushed into SAS to ensure clarity across both systems.
• Perform all approved Category, Class, and Subclass updates within Retek.
• Validate trait accuracy and report any discrepancies to affected parties. Once reported these discrepancies are to be corrected to ensure accuracy of all assortment planning worksheets.
• Create compliance location trait changes as well as stop ships / recalls based on reports provided by the compliance team and quality control team.
• Ensure all location compliances (Tobacco age restrictions, foam restrictions, permanent marker restrictions etc.) are maintained.
• Add traits to all new stores and re-trait all renovation and relocation stores to ensure ongoing accuracy.
• Maintain Trait Inbox, handing from end to end all emails to resolution, adjusting traits as needed and directing information to appropriate teams if responsibilities do not live within trait team.
• Track and maintain New Store / Renovation deadlines per Urgent Change notices from Store Planning.
• Ensure Adult Beverage sales compliance across all stores by updating trait per weekly wave store list update and maintaining accurate restricted store hours per the Adult Beverage / Tobacco Merchant / Licensing teams.
• Assist with the full life cycle of SKU set-up and maintenance, ensuring timely and accurate integration across systems down to the store level, enabling accurate sales, margin and chainwide reporting.
