Med / Surg Telemetry RN Job Details

Location : Roxboro, North Carolina 27573

Healthcare Setting : 16-bed Med / Surg Telemetry Unit

Assignment Type : Travel Nursing Contract

Start Date : November 24, 2025

End Date : February 23, 2026

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Nursing Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM)

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1680 - $1800

Electronic Health Record : Meditech

Dress Code : Navy blue scrubs

Floating : Yes, as needed to support patient care

Call Requirements : None

Patient Population : Adult & Geriatric

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state

Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg Telemetry nursing experience

BLS certification (American Heart Association)

Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and float to other units as needed

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Must comply with hospital dress code (navy blue scrubs)

Med / Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

Provide safe, compassionate, and effective nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in the Med / Surg Telemetry unit

Monitor and interpret telemetry readings, respond promptly to changes in patient condition, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team

Administer medications, perform patient assessments, and document care accurately using Meditech EHR

Care for patients with common diagnoses such as congestive heart failure (CHF), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and diabetes

Participate in hospital orientation (held weekly on Mondays) and ongoing clinical training

Float to other nursing units as required to support overall patient care
