The Content Strategist will lead Coastal Debt Resolve’s editorial strategy, manage our content calendar, and create compelling multi-channel content that attracts, educates, and converts small business owners. This role requires a strong writer and strategic thinker who understands performance-driven content marketing and how to drive engagement across digital platforms. The role will also manage external content partners and ensure consistent brand voice and messaging.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and manage the editorial calendar aligned to marketing goals and campaign themes

Lead content ideation, creation, and publication for blog articles, website pages, email, SEO, and paid media, including ebooks

SEO & Web Content

Optimize all digital content for search (on-page SEO, keyword strategy, metadata, etc.)

Analyze content performance and continuously optimize based on engagement and conversion data

Conduct in-depth keyword research, competitor benchmarking, and search intent analysis to inform all SEO-driven content initiatives

Email & Campaign Support

Write and edit email marketing content for lead nurturing, newsletters, and client education

Collaborate on email workflows and drip campaigns to support inbound lead conversion

Thought Leadership & Brand Voice

Build Coastal Debt Resolve’s voice as a thought leader in ethical debt resolution

Ghostwrite articles, case studies, and bylines for executives and advisors

Content Partnerships

Identify and manage relationships with industry blogs, affiliate partners, and press outlets for guest content, backlinks, and co-branded campaigns

Analytics & Reporting

Report on content performance metrics (organic traffic, time on page, conversions, etc.)

Make data-informed recommendations for content improvements and topic selection

Ideal Candidate Profile

5 - 8 years of copywriting experience with strong portfolio of multichannel digital content.

Strong writing, editing, and QA skills with the ability to balance creativity, empathy, and strategic messaging in consumer-facing communications.

Proficiency with CMS platforms (WebFlow, Wordpress, etc), publishing and design tools (Figma, Canva), SEO analytical tools (like SEMrush / Ahrefs) and CRM tools (Salesforce).

Demonstrated success leading, supporting, and executing integrated content strategy across the customer journey and conversion funnel.

Portfolio or writing samples showcasing relevant content creation skills are required.

Ability to work collaboratively within a small creative team and adapt to evolving content strategies.

A team player who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Bonus Experience

Background in financial services, small business services, or legal marketing

Experience with email segmentation, A / B testing, and automation workflows

Understanding of the MCA debt landscape and challenges faced by small business owners

Demonstrated use of AI tools like ChatGPT, Jasper AI to enhance content quality, efficiency and relevance exposure to optimizing content for LLMs a plus
