Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position requiring a MO or Compact RN license and recent specialty experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
  • Night shifts (3x12 hours) from 18 : 45 to 7 : 15
  • Schedule includes alternating weekends and holiday coverage (must work half of contract holidays)
  • Mandatory floating to other units, including Patient Observer (Sitter) roles
  • Cerner EMR is used; prior Cerner experience preferred but not required
  • 13-week assignment duration
  • Local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius
  • Responsible for providing emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population
  • Must be able to float to various units and fulfill Patient Observer roles as assigned
  • New travelers and those returning within 18 months do not require re-orientation
  • A 9-month gap is required between travel assignments with this health system
  • Holiday shifts are required for at least 50% of contract holidays

  • Active MO or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
  • Minimum of 2 years overall nursing experience with at least 1 year in Emergency Department nursing
  • Current BLS certification
  • Must provide 2 professional references for consideration
