Material Handler

The Opportunity

Avantor is seeking a Material Handler to expedite the movement of parts and material between production areas by listing or otherwise moving raw materials and / or parts. They prepare and coordinate schedules for pulling and delivering materials to control the flow of goods and regulate production floor space, and safely operate appropriate equipment (forklifts, hoists, crane, etc.) required to move materials along production floor. They also follow all safety rules and practices.

This is a full-time position based out of our Tualatin, OR office.

Work Schedule : Monday - Friday, 7 : 30am - 4 : 00 pm.

What We're Looking For

• High School education or GED.
• Related experience to include operating powered equipment : i.e. forklifts.
• OSHA Forklift and HAZMAT certification a plus.
• Must be able to use proper techniques to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to follow directions with emphasis on safety is extremely important.
• Must be able to use hands and feet simultaneously and for repetitive movements.
• Familiarity with warehouse systems.
