About the Job
Mount Laurel Animal Hospital is seeking experienced, patient-focused Certified Veterinary Technicians (CVTs) to join our dedicated team in a dynamic hospital setting. As a non-corporate, full-service veterinary facility with Primary Care, Emergency, and over a dozen Specialty departments, we're expanding our technician team to support our mission of delivering exceptional, compassionate veterinary care. Whether your passion lies in Emergency, Surgery, Exotics, Oncology, or another area, we have a home for you.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to a variety of species under the supervision of veterinarians
- Support specialty services in departments such as Anesthesiology, Internal Medicine, Oncology, and more
- Assist with diagnostics including radiography, bloodwork, ultrasound, and advanced imaging
- Prepare and maintain surgical suites, equipment, and patients pre- and post-operatively
- Accurately record patient data, monitor vitals, and administer medications
- Collaborate with doctors and fellow technicians to deliver exceptional client and patient care
- Educate pet owners on treatments, medications, and wellness recommendations
- Uphold hospital standards and contribute to a positive, supportive culture
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
Ability to lift and carry animals or equipment weighing up to 50 lbsCapable of standing, walking, kneeling, and bending for extended periodsComfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environmentMay be required to work evenings, weekends, or holidays depending on department needsQualifications
Required :
Active New Jersey CVT License (or eligible for licensure)1+ years of experience as a Veterinary TechnicianStrong technical skills, including venipuncture, anesthesia monitoring, surgical prep, and patient handlingPreferred :
Previous experience in a specialty or emergency veterinary settingVeterinary Technician Specialty (VTS) certification or working toward oneSkills
