Travel Nurse Job Details

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1680 - $1800

Healthcare Setting : Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Nursery (nursery experience preferred)

Contract Type : Travel Nursing Assignment

Start Date : October 6, 2025

End Date : January 5, 2026

Duration : 13-week contract

Nursing Shift : Night shifts, 18 : 45–07 : 15 (12-hour nights)

Shifts per Week : 3 shifts / week (Sunday–Saturday)

Hours per Week : 36

Unit Beds : 14

Patient Ratios : Labor 1 : 1–2, Nursery 1 : 6, Postpartum 1 : 6, Mother-Baby 1 : 3 couplets

EMR System : Centricity

Scrub Color : Any solid color; OR scrubs provided as needed

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state

BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or ARC)

NRP certification required

Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience

Postpartum experience required; Nursery experience preferred

Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility

L&D RN Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers, postpartum patients, and newborns

Monitor and assess patient status, including fetal monitoring and maternal vital signs

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure safe, high-quality patient care

Educate patients and families on postpartum and newborn care

Document nursing care and interventions accurately in Centricity EMR

Maintain a safe, supportive environment for patients and staff
