Job Description & Requirements
Title : MRI Technologist
Location : Watertown, New York
Duration : 13 weeks
Shift : Rotating 12-hour Day / Evening shifts, 36 guaranteed hours per week
Job Responsibilities
Perform MRI procedures according to established protocols and physician orders.
Operate MRI scanners and related imaging equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images.
Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper positioning throughout imaging procedures.
Verify patient identification and review medical history and physician instructions prior to exams.
Monitor image quality and make technical adjustments as needed.
Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare staff to ensure accurate and efficient imaging services.
Maintain equipment cleanliness, perform basic troubleshooting, and report maintenance issues.
Comply with radiation safety and infection control policies.
Accurately document procedures, maintain records, and adhere to HIPAA and confidentiality standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
Minimum 1 year of MRI technologist experience.
Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology.
Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in MRI.
Current BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification.
Knowledge of general anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
Must maintain all required state and federal licenses and certifications.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
Additional experience or specialized training in MRI procedures preferred.
Strong attention to detail, technical aptitude, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and patient care skills.
