Compensation : Staff Analyst Series

Associate Staff Analyst (OA) : $93,453 - $121,004

Staff Analyst II (OA) : $82,673- $92,077

Staff Analyst I (OA) : $71,203 - $84,295

Responsibilities :

This position is responsible for quality control / quality assurance activities for Occupational Health Services. OHS must ensure all employees meet medical and drug testing city, state, and federal regulatory requirements. Based on these regulations, the analyst will review procedures and guidelines to ensure data integrity by performing the following :

Review current regulatory medical and drug testing compliance requirements.

Review current processes and provide improvement strategies.

Perform data screening and review to identify anomalies.

Perform data clean up when necessary to ensure accurate information is entered to OHS online systems.

Create daily, weekly, and monthly reports to ensure internal control processes are being met.

Develop and maintain Power Bl dashboards for management review.

Education and Experience :

Associate Staff Analyst

A master's degree from an accredited college in economics, finance, accounting, business or public administration, human resources management, management science, operations research, organizational behavior, industrial psychology, statistics, personnel administration, labor relations, psychology, sociology, human resources development, political science, urban studies or a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school, and one (1) year of satisfactory full-time professional experience in one or a combination of the following : working with the budget of a large public or private concern in budget administration, accounting, economic or financial administration, or fiscal or economic research; in management or methods analysis, operations research, organizational research or program evaluation; in personnel or public administration, recruitment, position classification, personnel relations, labor relations, employee benefits, staff development, employment program planning / administration, labor market research, economic planning, social services program planning / evaluation, or fiscal management, or in a related area; or

A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and three (3) years of satisfactory full-time professional experience in the areas described in "1" above.

Staff Analyst 1-11

A master's degree from an accredited college or university in economics, finance, accounting, business or public administration, human resources management, management science, operations research, organizational behavior, industrial psychology, statistics, personnel administration, labor relations, psychology, sociology, human resources development, political science, or urban studies, or a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school; or

A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of satisfactory fulltime professional experience in one or a combination of the following areas : working with the budget of a large public or private concern in budget administration, accounting, economic or financial administration, or fiscal or economic research; in management or methods analysis, operations research, organizational research or program evaluation; in personnel or public administration, recruitment, position classification, personnel relations, labor relations, employee benefits, staff development, employment program planning / administration, labor market research, economic planning, social services program planning / evaluation, or fiscal management; or in a related area; or

An associate degree or completion of 60 semester credits from an accredited college or university and four (4) years of satisfactory full-time professional experience as described in "2" above; or

A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and six (6) years of satisfactory full-time professional experience as described in "2" above; or

A combination of education and / or experience equivalent to "1", "2", "3", or "4" above. College education may be substituted for professional experience at the rate of 30 semester credits from an accredited college or university for one year of experience. However, all candidates must have a high school diploma.

Special Note :

To be eligible for placement in Assignment Level 11, individuals must have, after meeting the minimum requirements, one additional year of professional experience as described in "2" above.

Desired Skills :

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite : PowerPoint, Excel, and Word, as well as internet databases.

Ability to create and maintain Power Bl dashboards.

Ability to read and write technical correspondence.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
