Job description
Unleash Communication in the Sunny SoCal Paradise - Become a Speech Language Pathologist

Overview

Imagine stepping into a role that can truly shape lives - where you harness the power of communication. As a Speech Language Pathologist in the vibrant locale of Santa Ana, California, your expertise will transcend mere speech therapy; it will be a beacon of hope and healing. You'll be instrumental in unlocking potential, reinstating self-assurance, and nurturing connections in a community that thrives on diversity - from curious toddlers taking their first verbal strides to distinguished seniors rediscovering their voices.

This position presents a rare chance to impact across various age groups in a blend of outpatient and rare inpatient settings. If you're excited about facilitating pediatric language growth, addressing neurogenic communication issues in adults, or enhancing cognitive-linguistic skills among the elderly, this environment promises both satisfaction and adaptability.

Description
  • Conduct thorough evaluations for a diverse clientele ranging from children to seniors, employing standardized assessments and keen observational methods.
  • Craft individualized treatment plans to target both immediate objectives and long-term rehabilitation goals for communication, cognition, or swallowing.
  • Deliver focused speech therapy interventions, emphasizing language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
  • Team up with occupational therapists, physical therapists, healthcare providers, families, and caregivers to foster a unified approach to patient care.
  • Provide education to patients and their families, enhancing therapeutic progress beyond the walls of your clinic.
  • Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and treatments, ensuring a seamless continuum of care throughout the recovery process.
  • Maintain precise documentation in accordance with state, federal, and internal regulations.
  • Keep abreast of innovations in therapy practices through ongoing education and engagement with professional peers.
Education
  • Earned a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) necessary for those yet to acquire ASHA certification.
Certifications
  • Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in California.
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be secured within the first month of employment.
Skills
  • Expertise in evidence-based practices for varying age groups, combined with robust knowledge of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing conditions.
  • Exceptional communication skills for engaging meaningfully with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Adept at customizing therapy methods to reflect the diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds of clients.
  • Sound clinical reasoning and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experienced with electronic health records and compliance documentation.
Benefits
  • Attractive salary based on experience.
  • Flexible scheduling options to promote work-life harmony and manage diverse patient needs.
  • Pathways to specialization in areas such as pediatrics, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatric care.
  • Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay provisions.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage.
  • Support for continuing education and professional growth.
  • A collegial atmosphere centered on collaboration and exceptional care.

A Journey That Inspires You and Those Around You

Here, your role as a Speech Language Pathologist extends beyond therapy; you will weave into the very fabric of a community intent on rekindling voices, enhancing interactions, and fostering joy through the simplest exchanges of communication.

You'll work within a team that treats each other with utmost respect and camaraderie, in an environment that values collaboration above competition. Each individual you encounter has a narrative; we entrust you with the profound opportunity to help shape it.

Why Life Here Is a Breeze

The rhythmic pulse of Santa Ana embodies a unique fusion of sunny innovation and the warm embrace of California charm. As part of this multicultural hub, you'll find a beautiful blend of beaches, urban art, and soothing natural vistas that showcase a lifestyle rich in opportunity.

The local parks often come alive with families enjoying weekends of sunshine, while the streets buzz with diverse culinary offerings, from gourmet food trucks to elegant dining venues. Outdoor enthusiasts have endless trails to traverse and enchanting coastlines to explore - and for professionals looking for growth, a supportive environment thrives here with no state income tax and a vibrant job market.

Whether you're taking your first thrilling steps into your career or are a seasoned practitioner eager for a change, this is a location that encourages both personal and professional evolution.

Who We Need in Our Corner

We are seeking a compassionate Speech Language Pathologist who finds motivation not just in results, but in the stories of those they serve. Someone who envisions future possibilities in every patient they see - whether it's a shy child longing to speak or a stroke survivor yearning for resurgence.

You might be a passionate pediatric clinician wanting to expand into adult therapy - or perhaps a specialist in adult neuro rehabilitation eager to diversify your skills to include early childhood therapies.

Whatever ignites your passion, if you are ready to approach your work with sincerity and expertise, we invite you to join our welcoming family.

Let's Connect Through the Power of Words

If you view speech as an expressive art and therapy as a vital journey toward understanding, and if you believe in building meaningful relationships alongside therapeutic goals, this may just be the perfect opportunity to write the next chapter of your career.

Join us as we celebrate communication and connection, where your voice can shine brightly in a supportive community, empowering others to discover their own voices on their journey ahead.
