Job Description

Professional level sales position supporting advanced functions on the commercial side of the business. Responsible for profitable growth of the commercial business through customer retention and growth. Partners with GM to manage Team Members. Requires expert knowledge of automotive systems and parts, sourcing from various channels including special orders, FDO, and second sources. Able to direct drivers for timely and accurate delivery. This is a full-time position.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintain commercial customer relationships
  • Provide GAS2 selling experience to commercial customers
  • Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives
  • Support Team Members' daily activities
  • Collaborate with GM on coaching and development of Team Members
  • Dispatch drivers to ensure delivery standards
  • Maintain commercial stock levels
  • Build and maintain a network of second source suppliers

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Maintain core bank and commercial returns
  • Manage commercial credit accounts
  • Partner with GM to ensure driver coverage

  • Automotive systems knowledge and diagnostic skills
  • Effective communication in English (Spanish a plus)
  • Ability to interpret safety rules, manuals, and catalogs
  • Following written and oral instructions
  • Completion of Parts Knowledge Assessment
  • Basic math skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Understanding of commercial profitability concepts
  • Flexibility to work days, evenings, and weekends
  • Prior Experience

    Minimum of 3 years automotive parts experience preferred. Proven sales ability and team leadership experience are advantageous.

    Education

    High school diploma or GED required.

    Certificates and Licenses

    ASE Certification preferred but not required.

    Physical Demands

    Requires walking, standing, talking, hearing, using hands, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Must lift up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Visual abilities include close, distance, color, and depth perception.

    Work Environment

    Primarily indoor work, with occasional outdoor tasks exposed to weather, mechanical parts, chemicals, electrical hazards, and noise. Moderate noise level expected.

    Position is eligible for sales commissions based on performance.
