Eat. Sleep. Lead with Vision. Repeat : Our Vice President of Sales leads, manages and holds the Sales and Marketing leaders accountable. This position is based out of Michigan and is responsible for providing overall direction regarding the profitable growth of Imperial Beverage statewide, including the development and execution of the sales and marketing strategy. A Day in the Life

  • Be a positive example of working hard and having fun
  • Lead and manage the Sales and Marketing team
  • Participate in the development of the organization's plans and programs as a strategic partner, but particularly from the perspective of the impact on Sales and Marketing
  • Build ownership and hold your team accountable
  • Set department goals that are aligned with company objectives, measure progress and adjust processes accordingly
  • Establish account standards and hold team accountable to execute
  • Set and direct company sales plan
  • Maintain relationships with key suppliers, key accounts and other Michigan wholesalers
  • Ensure appropriate resources to support the implementation, development, maintenance and ongoing improvements of sales projects and goals
  • Direct the development and execution of short and long-term sales goals by establishing timelines, and drive a sense of urgency to keep goals on track
  • Prepare and analyze department budget to identify budget needs and / or reductions, and may allocate sales and marketing budget funds
  • Regularly review effectiveness of plans and initiate appropriate action to mitigate emerging risks or secure emerging opportunities
  • Stay up-to-date on new products and the changing needs of the market
  • Recruit new suppliers and brands for needs of our customers
  • Attend all Leadership Development Training that Imperial provides

Requirements

  • Enjoy a work hard / play hard culture
  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent education and experience) in Sales and Business Marketing
  • 8+ years' experience in management
  • 5+ years' experience with beverage sales and / or Direct Store Delivery (DSD)
  • Demonstrated leadership, people management, and change management skills including the ability to build collaboration and teamwork among the workforce to continually look for opportunities to improve
  • Experience developing and managing projects
  • Must possess superior communication and customer service skills, confidentiality and professionalism
  • Advanced knowledge of beer, wine and spirits
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with various types of people
  • Strong financial acumen including an understanding of financial information related to sales and marketing
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Ability to attain a Michigan Liquor Control Commission license
  • Must live in Michigan
