Processing and Analytic Capabilities Software Engineering Advisor

Responsibilities

Peraton is hiring an experienced Software Engineer (SWE) to support the government’s Processing and Analytic Capabilities Office initiatives related to their High Performance Computing (HPC) program. These programs are cutting edge and include everything from HPC test planning and execution, architecture design and prototyping, and vendor outreach and collaboration support.

The SWE will support work across teams to write or enable queries for specialized metrics collection products and ensure that system performance is maintained. As a result the candidate must have leadership skills and / or experience with leading an effort, and be communicative, collaborative, and organized. The ideal candidate should be able to : work independently, as well as with a team, to ensure that all components are functioning properly; must be willing to stay abreast of latest industry trends in both open source and commercial metrics and monitoring solutions; be capable of supporting determination of if-and-when to incorporate them into an IaC solution; and be willing to and able to learn new tools and protocols.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications :

• Position requires an active TS / SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Required Education / Experience requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus ten (10) years of software engineering experience, OR
• High School Diploma or GED plus fourteen (14) years of software engineering experience.

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
