An ideal candidate would be someone with a chemical engineering degree, food science degree, or food manufacturing or related background.

The manager is hoping to promote this individual into a quality engineer position.

Open to any entry level engineering or science degrees.

Role Overview :

This position supports quality and food safety initiatives at the plant. Responsibilities include leading the sensory program, managing quality notifications and holds, conducting inspections and audits, and coordinating pathogen testing. The role requires strong communication skills, learning agility, and a collaborative mindset to drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities :

Rework paperwork and hold report management

SAP entries for defective materials

Sensory program leadership and documentation

Micro / allergen testing coordination

Allergen inspection and documentation

HACCP and food safety audits

Receiving inspections and carton approvals

FSRA internal inspections

Sampling for various departments

Foreign material risk assessment support

Regulatory compliance (GMPs, HACCP, Allergen, Organic)

Packaging series audits

Vendor equipment calibration support

Risk Management Program support

OPL creation and revision

Additional responsibilities as assigned

Skills

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00 / hr.
