Millwright
Responsibilities
This off-shift Millwright position, located in Muskegon County, MI, is responsible for performing a wide range of mechanical maintenance and repair duties to support efficient plant operations. Key responsibilities include pipefitting, welding, small fabrication, and belts and sheave alignment.
Compensation and Benefits Package
Base pay : up to $36.25 per hour
Additional shift premium : $350 per additional shift worked
Holiday premium : $700 for working designated holidays
Expected schedule : required to work one weekend per month

Job Roles
Performs millwright and machine repair duties including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment.
Conducts pipefitting, welding, and fabrication work as required for plant maintenance and improvement.
Ensures proper alignment of belts, sheaves, shafts, and mechanical components to maintain operational efficiency.
Diagnoses mechanical issues, performs necessary repairs, and replaces defective parts to minimize downtime.
Inspects and maintains plant systems to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
Supports preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment life and prevent unplanned outages.
Collaborates with maintenance, production, and engineering teams to identify and execute improvement opportunities.
Follows all safety procedures and actively participates in maintaining a safe work environment.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
Possess a minimum of one of the following :
Minimum of eight (8) years of documented millwright / machine repair experience
Completion of a bona fide apprenticeship program with certificate of completion
Journeyman Millwright card
Journeyman Machine Repair card
Legally authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship available)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience troubleshooting machines, including hydraulics and pneumatics
Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of industrial systems
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
Effective communication and teamwork skills in a manufacturing environment
Commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence
