JOB SUMMARY :

We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Mechanical Assembler to join our production team. The ideal candidate will perform repetitive mechanical assembly tasks involving precision and dexterity to maintain production pace and quality standards. This role requires adherence to all safety and quality procedures, hands-on mechanical aptitude, and the ability to follow detailed assembly instructions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Follow all workplace safety and product quality guidelines and successfully complete site-specific training.
  • Receive components or parts for assembly or testing in a programmed sequence.
  • Assemble and / or test mechanical or electrical components using hand tools, power tools, and basic jigs / fixtures.
  • Perform repetitive assembly operations with precision and consistency.
  • Read and interpret simple layout and assembly drawings.
  • Complete documentation and enter work hours in ERP systems (SAP preferred).
  • Conduct housekeeping / 5S audits and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain work area and equipment in clean, safe working condition.
  • Communicate effectively and respond to internal / external customer needs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in mechanical assembly or related manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude through prior work experience, coursework, or technical training.
  • Ability to use simple hand tools and follow assembly / test instructions accurately.
  • Basic computer literacy (ERP / SAP experience preferred).

    • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, hear, and see on a constant basis.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
  • Frequent writing, typing, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
  • Ability to climb and descend stairs as required.
  • May work in environments with varying temperatures (0–120°ree;F) and exposure to dust or noise (hearing protection may be required).
  • Must be able to operate a computer and communicate effectively via phone and in person.
