Loader Operator Union

As an Equipment Operator / Laborer, you will have responsibility for maintaining production, maintenance, quality, and safety within the Aggregates' Operations function, including but not limited to, operating heavy equipment, such as Front-End Loaders, Excavators, Telehandlers, Skid Steers, etc.

Essential Functions

• Operate, service, and maintain various heavy equipment including front-end loaders, excavators, skid steer, man-lift etc. in order to keep plant clean and in production
• Responsible for fueling, oiling, greasing equipment as well as understanding the equipment's safety manual
• Perform pre-shift and end of shift checks and maintenance on equipment
• Report orally and in writing to as required and maintain accurate records (i.e. activity reports, inventory reports, maintenance logs, etc.) as directed
• Participate in general training, job specific training and hazardous materials training as required; successfully complete written examinations as required
• Understand and follow all policies, procedures, and safety rules as applicable to facility, job function and equipment, including rules governing safety around railroad tracks and equipment
• Keep facilities and equipment clean and maintained
• Recommend changes to the operation which may produce safer work processes, savings and efficiencies
• Abiding by yard rules, safety regulations and PPE requirements
• Accurately completing all required paperwork
• Abide by terminals processes and procedures relating to product transfers, quality assurance, safety, and operations
• Complete required training and certifications necessary to perform duties safely and effectively
• Other duties as assigned
