Travel Nursing Job Details

Location : Fort Myers, Florida 33908 (Southwest Florida healthcare jobs)

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1890–$1940 per week

Assignment Length : 13-week travel contract (Start : 11 / 28 / 2025 – End : 2 / 28 / 2026)

Shift : 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week

Unit : 19-bed Labor & Delivery (L&D RN jobs)

Call Requirement : 12 hours per 6-week scheduling period

EMR : Epic

Scrub Colors : Galaxy Blue and / or White

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Florida nursing license preferred)

Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience

Prior travel nursing experience required

BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required

AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring course completed and passed (required)

AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring and EFM certification (preferred)

Ability to care for high-acuity labor & delivery patients

Degree accreditation must be on profile, or 5 years of experience required

Willingness to float to sister campuses as needed

Must live at least 50 miles from GCMC permanent address (per radius rule)

L&D RN Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in a high-acuity healthcare setting

Monitor maternal and fetal well-being, including advanced fetal heart rate monitoring

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Respond to obstetric emergencies and provide advanced life support as needed

Accurately document patient care using Epic EMR

Participate in on-call rotation and float to other units or campuses as required

Contribute to a positive, inclusive unit culture in the Labor & Delivery department
