Description :
The Physical Therapist is a licensed professional responsible and accountable for the evaluation, planning, implementation, and assessment of physical therapy services for patients.
The Physical Therapist assists in compiling reports and data as needed.
The Physical Therapist will plan and provide care reflecting individual patient needs, including cognitive, emotional, educational, physical, and chronological maturation.
The position requires using knowledge and judgment to meet the treatment needs of patients and their families.
The therapist often works under the pressure of time and accuracy in accomplishing patient care.
Effective communication skills are essential for this role.
There will be almost constant contact with patients and families, requiring skills in communication, motivation, and teaching.
The therapist will work effectively with medical staff, department managers, nursing personnel, and administration.
Cooperative working relationships must be maintained both inter and intra-departmentally.
The role involves outpatient orthopedics and geriatrics, as well as subacute rehab and long-term care residents.
The team comprises multiple physical therapists and therapy assistants.
Standard dress code is khaki scrub bottoms with navy scrub tops.
Documentation involves computerized systems; training will be provided.
Candidates must have 1 year of Physical Therapy experience in the past 3 years.
