Job description

Electricians Fire Alarm Experience

Electrical company needs highly motivated electricians with a minimum of 3 or more years of fire alarm expertise in commercial or industrial.

This position is responsible for electrical installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance within the commercial or industrial settings.

Job duties include :

  • Inspecting and evaluating electrical equipment to ensure that it operates efficiently and safely; determining whether equipment and new installations meet requirements of the National Electrical Code.
  • Studying blueprints and schematics in order to plan the material and labor needed to accomplish tasks.
  • Inspecting, repairing, installing, modifying, and maintaining electrical systems, circuits, and equipment.
  • Performing related work as assigned.

  • Understanding circuitry

    • General requirement(s) - at least 3-5 years commercial or industrial experience as a journeyman.

    Must be able to pass a security criminal background check.

  • Ability to read blueprints, bend and thread rigid conduit, wire and terminate devices, perform quality control testing and troubleshooting.
  • Working knowledge of installing electrical systems in new and renovation construction settings.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and move moderately heavy objects.
  • Ability to ascend / descend ladders.
  • Willing to work nights / weekends / overtime, as required.
  • Good communication skills ability to interact well with project managers, subordinates, vendors, other trades, and professionals.
  • Possession of reliable transportation and basic hand tools a must.

    • Experience :

  • 3-5 years industrial or commercial experience preferred.
  • Previous service / maintenance experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Needs to be proficient working with live switchgear along with the understanding and use of the proper PPE.
  • Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent with at least 3-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Must have an apprenticeship and / or formal training in area of this specialty.
  • OSHA 10 Certification and CPR training a plus.

    • Licensed electricians a plus.
