Village Green, with over 25 years of experience, is a locally owned company, with four office locations in Saint Paul, New Brighton, Brooklyn Park, and Savage.

We are looking for Mechanics who specialize in repair & maintenance for our fleet of trucks & equipment.

Winter Hours : Flexible schedule (40 hours per week).

Spring to Fall Hours : Set Schedule

Hourly Rate : DOE- $22-$40 / hour DOE

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES for our Mechanic :

• Maintain and repair company equipment and vehicles. Our fleet includes : p ickup trucks, dump trucks, semi-trucks, s kid loaders, front end loaders, excavators, trailers and s mall engine equipment.
• Knowledgeable in brakes, suspension, cooling, light engine work, and transmission
• Drivability assessment diagnose sounds, check engine lights, sensors
• Ability to trouble shoot hydraulic mechanisms such as plows and dump trucks
• Ability to read and interpret diagrams and instructions for repair and maintenance of equipment
• Demonstrates ability to problem solve electrical issues, 12 / 24V systems
• Metal Fab / Welding; wire feed and stick
• Performs preventive maintenance inspections
• Demonstrates timely and effective communication- verbal, non-verbal, and written
• Demonstrates high quality decision making in a fast paced and quickly evolving environment
