Job Summary

Are you interested in joining CHOC’s mighty brigade of nurses in our small baby unit? This is a unit that specializes in premature babies born at 28 weeks or less. In addition to nurturing a meaningful career for nurses, CHOC also offers an excellent salary and benefits package including an education reimbursement program (up to $10,000 per year).

The Breaker Nurse is responsible for the planning and delivery of family-centered patient care utilizing the nursing process : assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation. This position is responsible for directing and coordinating nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards. Responsible for collaborating with patient / family and other professional disciplines. This individual creates a partnership to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery for the achievement of mutually desired patient outcomes. Lastly the Breaker Nurse supports the organization's vision and mission while promoting and providing excellence in nursing care.

Pay Range

Minimum $56.96 Midpoint $74.05 Maximum $91.14

Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.

Work Environments - Functional Demand
