The Instructional Design Team, spanning from L1 to L4, is integral to the Learning and Development (L&D) department's success. As designers progress through the levels, they contribute significantly to the enhancement of our training materials, ensuring their clarity, effectiveness, and alignment with organizational objectives. From foundational tasks like designing and updating content at L1 to steering the entire instructional design team at L4, these professionals play a crucial role in cultivating a culture of ongoing improvement and effective learning experiences.

Position Objective :

The Instructional Designer at Level 2 advances beyond foundational tasks, taking on more advanced responsibilities. L2 instructional designers build upon the skills acquired at L1, contributing to the strategic planning and execution of instructional design initiatives. This level involves orchestrating comprehensive projects, gaining experience in managing aspects of the training materials, and playing a crucial role in the team's growth.

Responsibilities :

  • Design and Develop Instructional Materials :
  • Develop and update of training materials for new hires, existing team members, and customers. Drive the transformation of complex concepts into clear, concise, user-friendly training content.

  • Maintain instructional materials for various learning programs aligned with development and product updates. Ensure accuracy, accessibility, and relevance of instructional materials. Drive regular updates to materials, reflecting changes per industry best practices.

  • Formative and Summative Measurement Strategies :

  • Employee must remain in their current position for a minimum of 12 months (1 year) before being considered for promotion to the next tier.

    In order to advance from Instructional Designer II to Instructional Designer III, the following requirements must be met and maintained :

  • Every requirement from previous level remains a requirement for higher levels unless explicitly indicated to the contrary
  • In order to be considered for a promotion, the employee must consistently show all skills and complete all duties within their current level. They must be showing work toward 3-4 items on the next level.
  • Employee must remain in their current position for a minimum of 12 months (1 year) before being considered for promotion to the next tier.
