Description :

SUMMARY : Load, unload, and deliver supplies and materials to customers in an accurate and timely manner; efficiently and safely transports, sorts, and stocks materials. As the last point of contact our customers have with Wayne Tile, they must always act in a professional, friendly and helpful manner.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Primary  responsibilities include delivering wholesale orders to customers in the tri state area.
  • Occasionally  fills in for retail deliveries driving a flatbed and Moffett.
  • Contacts  customers to notify of estimated delivery time. Leaves messages and answers return calls to provide customers with excellent  service.
  • Performs simple vehicle maintenance; cleaning interior of vehicle, checking lights, checking tires, filling fluids, scheduling routine maintenance to keep vehicle running properly.
  • Observes all traffic laws and posted speed limits.
  • Delivers goods to clients.
  • Interacts with the customer in a professional manner.
  • Collects required signatures for payment, proof of delivery, and gives a receipt to customer.
  • Returns all required documentation to appropriate company official.
  • Observes no smoking in delivery vehicle.
  • Maintains a neat, clean personal appearance.
  • Must get all pertinent information if involved in an accident and inform appropriate company official.
  • Unloads vehicle after completing delivery runs.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements :

  • One to two years related experience or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with delivery practices and handling methods.
  • Must have a valid Class B CDL drivers license (or higher)
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Frequentlywork near moving mechanical parts
  • Frequently exposure to outside weather conditions
  • Specialized equipment, machines, or vehicles used : Must have CDL license,
