As a screener in a government location, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment by monitoring access points, conducting thorough screenings, and assisting with security-related procedures. Position Type : Part Time

Pay Rate : $21.45 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time Sat 06 : 00 AM - 02 : 00 PM Sun 06 : 00 AM - 02 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, as well as responding appropriately to emergencies as needed.
  • Screen individuals entering the location to identify unauthorized items and / or prohibited materials, following established protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Monitor access points and verify identification to help to deter unauthorized entry into the location.
  • Communicate clearly with visitors, employees, and / or contractors regarding entry requirements and site protocols.
  • Document and report any irregularities, incidents, or suspicious activities in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines.

  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must have 2 or more years of security-related experience.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and / or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
