Days, Evenings or Nights; Every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation; 36 hours / week

Younker Rehabilitation has been providing rehabilitation services to the Des Moines area for over 60 years. We have 59 licensed beds with sister units located at Iowa Methodist Medical Center and Iowa Lutheran Hospital. We serve a diverse group of patients with diagnosis that include : strokes, neurologic disorders, amputees, trauma, oncology, and patients needing rehabilitation after a major medical illness. All patients receive a minimum of three hours of therapy daily and 24 hour acute nursing and physician monitoring and management. We are CARF accredited and are passionate about getting our patients home and providing support and services needed for a safe and successful transition. Responsibilities

Applications are accepted year round, but w e encourage you to apply during your last semester of nursing school. Start dates are dependent on licensure, onboarding, unit availability as well as your personal preference.

All newly licensed RNs with less than six months of acute RN experience at the time of application are required to participate in the RN Residency program. Newly licensed nurses must apply for Registered Nurse Residency.

Responsibilities : Successfully functions as a Registered Nurse as defined in Iowa Nursing Regulations and Practice Act. Provides nursing care for patients and families and maintains a practice environment that reflects the ANA Code for Nurses, Philosophy of Nursing at UnityPoint Health-Des Moines within the structure of the Professional Nurse Practice Model and in collaboration with other care givers.
