Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive SQF Practitioner to lead our food safety and quality assurance programs. This role is critical in maintaining our SQF certification and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and customer requirements. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food safety, have strong leadership skills, and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities :
- Serve as the sites designated SQF Practitioner, overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of the SQF System.
- Ensure compliance with SQF Code requirements and all applicable food safety regulations.
- Lead internal and external audits, including preparation, execution, and follow-up.
- Conduct regular reviews of the Food Safety Plan and Quality Plan, ensuring continuous improvement.
- Train and mentor staff on food safety practices, GMPs, and SQF protocols.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain documentation and records in accordance with SQF and regulatory standards.
- Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in food safety.
Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field preferred.Minimum 23 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment as a SQF Practitioner.SQF or similar GFSI certification. Level 3 preferred.HACCP certification required.PCQI certification is a plus.Strong knowledge of food safety regulations (FDA, USDA, etc.).Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Ability to lead audits and work collaboratively across departments.Seniority level
