• Patient Volume : – 12 patients per shift – ~10 consults per 24 hours – ~10 stroke activations per day (shared with APPs)
• Support Staff : 9 RNs, 5 APPs, 1 office staff
• Specialty Backup : Available for hospitalist / intensivist admissions outside stroke protocols
• Case Mix : Stroke-heavy; comprehensive stroke center
• Procedures : – Transcranial Doppler (TCD) interpretation – Lumbar puncture – General neurology consult procedures – TNK / mechanical thrombectomy patient management
• Trauma Level : Level I
• EMR : Epic
• Other Info : – Must be self-motivated for heavy stroke volume – Provider may read TCDs remotely or onsite – Only stroke-related admits (TNK or mechanical thrombectomy); all others admitted by hospitalist / intensivist – Last 24 months of case logs for LP and TNK required for presentation
