At RK, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring every weld - from structural steel to mechanical assemblies - meets both customer expectations and industry codes (ISO, AWS, AISC, ASME). You won't just inspect : you'll lead quality assurance efforts, act as our corporate standard bearer, and guide continuous improvement across our processes and projects.

In this role, you'll carry out visual inspections, set up and validate weld procedures, maintain certification programs, and coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve quality challenges. You'll have the authority to halt nonconforming work, develop corrective action plans, and supervise inspection teams. Position Summary

The CWI shall inspect and certify that all welds meet customer expectations and ensures the overall quality of materials, products, and processes meet established internal and external standards throughout RK. The CWI will also act as the corporate representative for all standards used by RK (ex. ISO, SIAC, ASME, AWS)

Role Responsibilities

• Welding inspectors perform visual inspections on welded products and structures in progress and on completed jobs. Visual inspections search for defects in the weld such as cracks, lack of fusion, porosity, etc. The inspector uses magnification to find defects that potential weaken the strength of the joint. Inspectors measure welded products to ensure that they meet specifications for dimension.
