Responsibilities Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of an acute care hospital Patient ratios are 1 : 3 Night shifts with a 3x12 schedule from 19 : 00 to 07 : 00; 4x12 schedules may be requested Orientation consists of 36 hours Required to float to similar units within the hospital and to affiliate facilities nearby Uses the Epic EMR system and prior Epic experience is required Travelers must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays : Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year Scrub attire for L&D is provided by the hospital All travelers may be required to float between facilities within the state Module training is required before start and annually, averaging 16 hours to complete Former perm staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler Requested time off must be included at the time of application Requirements Active CA RN license must be in hand for consideration Minimum of 2 years' recent labor and postpartum nursing experience required Current certifications : BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate are required AWHONN Advanced certification is preferred Must provide at least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of work within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty Epic EMR experience required Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility No locals accepted at traveler rate Pending licenses are not accepted for this position Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-640670.
