Job Roles & Responsibilities of the DOT Compliance Analyst Position :
Heavy Duty DOT Compliance (Certification & Regulations)
Support compliance of DOT / FMCSA regulations of Heavy Duty truck project to ensure compliance of the truck fleet, Drivers, Operations, etc. These include, but not limited to :
- Monitor & maintain general Accident File, DOT registration, MC Registration, etc. and other required file maintenance.
- Update daily driver logs with required notations.
- Monitor & maintain Driver Qualification files.
- Support management of Driver Medical Cards.
- Support DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing needs by coordinating testing with JJ Keller & Driver on an as needed basis.
- Support Vehicle Maintenance record management / updates, monitor changes / gaps, etc. (this includes each key cycle).
- Review pre & post trip inspections of all vehicles / drivers.
- Conduct periodic review of audit logs.
- DVIR management and monitoring to ensure compliance with DOT requirements.
- Support annual review of all files to ensure compliance and update necessary files / systems as required.
- Log the following files as necessary : scale tickets, fuel receipts, ELD reports, bill of lading, shipment documentation, etc.
- Support DOT Mock Audit when necessary.
- Communicate with Company CDL holders on compliance training, missing paperwork, inspections, etc. to ensure compliance.
- Communicate with JJ Keller (compliance company) to ensure understanding of vehicle codes, compliance matters, etc.
- Coordinate / manage fleet of flatbed trailers, enclosed trailers & other rental equipment as necessary. This includes management of PO's, payment processing, etc.
Field / Testing Support [40%]
Develop and deliver applicable training for deployment of new vehicles to fleet operators.Support new HD truck deployment to customers by providing on-site training / vehicle familiarization on new vehicle systems / platforms, new vehicle technology and overall operation of the vehicle.Once in operation, provide remote high level vehicle support for customers who have questions, etc. to provide a customer experience.Support vehicle logistics for event support by coordinating with Internal Company shipping department to ship vehicles to and from H2HQ (Hydrogen Headquarters), Gardena, CA.When required / applicable, support on-site event support (i.e., ride and drive, vehicle staging at the venue, etc.)When applicable, support testing of Heavy Duty Fuel Cell trucks on closed test courses.Travel & Overtime
