Job Title : Food Safety Quality Coordinator Location : Cincinnati Plant – Cincinnati, OH Hours / Schedule : 1st shift, Monday–Friday (start time 7 : 00 a.m.; 40–45 hours / week) Type : Contract Overview The Quality Coordinator supports the plant by leading quality and food safety programs that ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards. This role focuses on maintaining documentation, conducting inspections and audits, coordinating sampling and testing, and supporting continuous improvement in plant quality systems. The position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments. Responsibilities Lead the plant sensory program, manage documentation, and maintain gold standard samples. Oversee quality notifications in SAP for defective materials or packaging. Organize and maintain rework paperwork and traceability documentation. Conduct and document allergen inspections and coordinate micro / allergen testing with logistics. Develop and update SOPs related to quality, sanitation, and food safety. Perform and document HACCP, control point, and control measure audits for compliance. Conduct food safety (FSRA) inspections and sampling for corporate, R&D, and product teams. Manage weekly hold reports and carton approvals. Support maintenance food safety inspections and receiving inspections for suspect materials. Verify packaging code dates and approved series for all packaging levels. Assist in foreign material risk assessments and decision-making processes. Support vendor equipment calibration and repairs. Maintain and revise OPLs (operator procedure lists) as needed. Contribute to the Risk Management Program and other plant quality initiatives. Perform additional quality-related tasks as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Engineering or Food Science). Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Strong communication skills and ability to work across teams. Flexibility to work varied schedules as needed. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail. Preferred : 1–2 years of quality or food safety experience in a manufacturing environment. HACCP and Preventive Controls certifications. Additional food safety training and certifications. Experience using SAP and electronic quality management systems.
