Duration of the Contract : 12 months

Project Scope :

This position involves working within a

multi-tier enterprise application environment   that utilizes

MicroFocus Visual COBOL ,

Microsoft .NET (VB.NET / C#) , and

Oracle / MS SQL Server   databases.

The selected consultant will be responsible for developing new business functionalities, troubleshooting existing systems, and enhancing performance and reliability within the organization’s core business applications.The ideal candidate should possess strong

problem-solving skills , experience in

production support , and the ability to work

independently   while collaborating with both technical and business teams.

Key Responsibilities :

• Analyze existing

COBOL ,

Web Service , and

Batch   business applications.

identifying and resolving system issues .

technical solutions   to meet business needs.

Code, test, and deploy   system updates following best practices.

regular progress reports   to the development manager.

Required Skills & Experience :

8+ years of experience ,

or

10+ years   of relevant experience without a degree.

full-stack system development   experience in a

three-tier environment   spanning COBOL, .NET, Web / Mobile, Oracle, and MS SQL Server.

DevSecOps   background including release management, testing (beyond “happy path”), and team collaboration.

COBOL development   using

MicroFocus Visual COBOL   in

Visual Studio 2019 / 2022   on

Windows Server 2022 (IIS) .

application programming   against

Oracle   and

MS SQL Server   databases.

Preferred Skills :

Visual Studio 2019+   (Debugging)

C# .NET   development

SQL   experience (Oracle & MS SQL Server)

IIS   configuration and setup

MicroFocus   certifications

DevSecOps   certifications
