Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A contract position is available for a Sign Language Interpreter to support an elementary student in a school setting in Lawrence, KS. This role provides the opportunity to work directly with a young learner, enhancing munication and educational access through American Sign Language interpretation.

Responsibilities :

• Provide one-on-one sign language interpretation services for an elementary student during school hours.
• Facilitate effective munication between the student, teachers, and peers to support academic success.
• Attend school sessions primarily onsite, with limited virtual days possible (Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays).
• Adapt to early release days occurring occasionally on Wednesdays (school ends at 2 : 00 pm).
• Collaborate with educational staff to ensure a smooth and supportive learning environment.
