Your Impact

The Vertex CGT Analytical Development Co-Op program is a 6-month experiential training program for students currently working towards a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other related fields. If you are passionate, collaborative, and growth-minded, a co-op at Vertex will help you gain meaningful experience in our biopharmaceutical sciences functional areas and serve as a launchpad for your career.

What you will be doing :

We are seeking a graduate-level co-op to support method development for single-cell proteomics to characterize cell therapy products. CGT AD supports a variety of projects within cell and gene therapy for process characterization and other needs. Our team within CGT AD primarily uses LC-MS.

The major focus of this co-op will be on single-cell proteomics. Key duties include optimization of CellenONE methods to sort cells and prepare them for proteomics analysis and the use of TMT and label-free based methods to acquire proteomics data. Methods for data analysis will be developed in conjunction with other team members. Single-cell methods will support the efforts toward multi-omics characterization of cell therapy products.

The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting.
